London is always a good idea for me, if I could, I would move there tomorrow but for now as far as my expenses are in concern I am glad I get only a 6 month visa from the consulate, which also is a little trouble since I squeeze in two trips to LONDON in 6 months (a little too steep).
Nevertheless, my favourite part about London, is the coffee!!! I know nothing beats an Italian roast or a cup of coffee the Aussie way but when I speak about Cafe Culture, London beats the hell out of everyone. my favourite part about being in there is to explore a cafe or two everyday and I felt finally worth it to list down my top ones on a blog post finally, so here it goes.
1. B&H GARDEN ROOM.
The Bourne and Hollingsworth garden room on the 10th floor of Assembly Hotel at Leicester square is one of the most stunning cafes I've been to across the world. With a beautiful indoor garden and a forest vibe created, the B&H Garden also overviews the stunning London and you can spot the London eye right through. its almost like having breakfast in the clouds. As beautiful as it looks in the day, its a perfect spot for a dinner date too for a great view of London at night. the coffees are really nice and strong. its a little restricted in food choices and you don't have a lot of options per say but its still worth a go. its also a real cool place to sit and co work or have your meetings in the day, its quaint, refreshing and I did spot a lot of people working by themselves during the day.
2. DALLOWAY TERRACE
Dalloway terrace is located inside the magnificent Bloomsbury hotel on the Great Russel st. It's known for the most stunning backdrops for your seating and the prettiest decor in town. as much as I love going there during every visit to the city, you cannot plan this place only for a coffee. you need to make a reservation for either lunch or dinner basically you gotta spend big bucks to sit there and that makes the place a little less attractive for me. The staff isn't too warm either or at least I didn't have a good experience BUT HEY, if you're looking for an Instagram worthy cafe, this one surely goes on the top.
3. THE CORAL ROOM
Just in the backside of the Dalloway terrace is the uber gorgeous cafe/restaurant/bar of the Bloomsbury hotel. high ceilings., painted in coral, so ecstatic and classy at the same time. I couldn't get over the bold interiors of this place. this place is perfect for an evening stop for coffee and some yummy deserts. Its also a gorgeous place for dinner or drinks at the bar but since we are talking about ill stick to that, haha.
4. THE FARM GIRL CAFE
This cafe is located at the Portebello street in Notting Hill and is always on high demand. for the two times I've visited this place Ive had at least a half an hour to 45 min waiting hence its best to book a reservation online. well you'll wonder whats the fuss about, so did I. The place is a cute next door cafe, nothing extraordinary but its surrounded by lots of trees and plants making it so close to nature and goes with the theme of the cafe. The food is organic, healthy and very fitness conscious but at the same time totally tasty! The coffee is beyond nice and right after the first sip I knew whats all the fuss about.
5. EL&N CAFE
I don't think I even need to mention the pretty decor or the most instagrammable vibe of this cafe, I bet everyone knows this about EL&N cafe. It's a chain of almost 5-6 outlets across the city with a mini one in Biscester Village too. The cafe has a Pink floral theme across every outlet, filled with neon signs about coffee and the prettiest crockery making you remove that goddamn camera for a photo asap. the food here is also really heavy and good. the place is a little overpriced for coffee but the food portions and the vibe covers up for it.
6. DARCIE AND MAY GREEN
This really rare find opposite the Paddington station is this cute little floating restaurant where they've converted a small boat into a cafe. I did a lot of research to find this place, it is so less known and I winder why1 the staff was so sweet, the coffee was on point and the food was really good too. Of course how did the forget the prettiest looking decor and crockery. The attention to detail is unavoidable. Make sure you visit this place for a cozy breakfast with your friends or alone just like I did!
7. Crypt Cafe
My friend told me do you know about the hidden cafe of London and of course I jumped saying show me now!!! Located underground right behind the Trafalgar Square and close the Portrait art gallery, take a couple of steps down or a lift to the hidden cafe of London and you'll find a huge cafe in the crypt. you'll mostly find locals here since its hardly know. There is also a tiny little museum adjoining the cafe. Its the perfect spot for a cold day in London for a hot cup of Mocha and getting together with an old friend.
8. GRIND LONDON
Grind is one of the coolest concept cafes in LONDON. A cafe that turns from a chill, work space kinda vibe to a fun bar in the evening where friends get together for a chill beer. Its situated in a couple of place with a different decor yet the same vibe including Shoreditch, Covent garden, etc. I love Grind's concept, its always fun and exciting, even while you work in the day. It also has really cool coffee bars to sit and drink your coffee next to the window as you work for a city view. Overall, a perfect place to be from day to evening.
